This issue has been fixed in the latest version of the game. Taking off and re-equipping the weapon that gives the Meditation aura would bring it back. Prior to Patch 1.13c, a mercenary with Insight equipped would lose the Aura effect after dying. Bear in mind a normal vs superior has different strength requirements.

A superior will have even more when you put in the rune word. ago A common will still have more damage when you put in the runes. The runes required for each of the 4 slots can be obtained by doing Countess runs. Make a better one later if you find a better base. Insight is alternatively known as the RalTirTalSol Rune Word. Obtaining these runes is not possible on Normal difficulty. Level 12-17 Meditation Aura When Equipped You can make Insight by using a Normal Polearm or Stave that has 4 sockets and adding The Ral, Tir, Tal, and Sol runes set in order. As a hireling weapon, Insight is particularly useful for Act II desert mercenaries equipped with the Prayer aura, as the meditation synergizes with prayer, resulting in a very high healing rate. Instead of wielding it themselves, most players let their Hirelings carry them.

A good item to build if you want to control the pace of the fight and peel. Insight is popular among casters due to the relatively cheap runes necessary for its creation, along with the Meditation aura it provides. As far as stats go, Insight is something of an oddity, as it provides a hefty bonus to Attack Rating, Enhanced Damage and Cast Rate, suggesting its a weapon. There is a need to slow down enemy champions and improve their kiting potential. IMO its one of the most useful mercs for everything except melee builds. They tend to last longer for me as they can use a shield and they regen health faster. + (1.1.10–current Insight is the rune word ' Ral Tir Tal Sol' for polearms or staves in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction or also in missile weapons in Diablo II: Resurrected. You can also use the Act 5 barbarian Mercs.

Although most are available through Patch 1.09, others require Patch 1.10 or later to spawn, and others still are only available on the ladder. The following is a list of unique polearms from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
